Festival:- Three day Brahmmotsavam in Panguni (March-April), Masi Magam, Sivarathri (February-March), Karthikai (November-December) are the festivals grandly celebrated in the temple besides the monthly Pradosha days (13th day from the New Moon or full moon day), Thiruvadihirai also called Arundra darshan (December-January) and Annabishekams.
Temple Speciality:- The idol of Lord Viswanatha is not tall. The Nandi, the bull vehicle of Lord Shiva appears very lively. The water in the well (even today) is very sweet. According to the story, Maratha King Shivaji came to this place to worship Lord Shiva seeking his blessing to win the war against the Moguls.
